The Midi Skirt

The piece of the season currently being seen all over social media is of course the denim midi skirt. Reminiscent of the early 2000's but altogether more chic with a focus on the details that rework the trend.

The daring front split, the detailed darting, the raw denim edging - it's the denim midi skirt back again but with a Scandinavian twist. If the trend is intriguing and your closet is missing the hot piece of the season, here's the best of the look available right now.

Reformation

If you follow any of your favourite fashion creators on Instagram it's likely you've seen this incredible Reformation piece on them. Dark wash, raw edging and a wow front split hits all the trending notes.

Ganni

Of course there are some amazing European brands celebrating the trend and none more so than current Danish favourites Ganni. A classic cut in a traditional blue colourway feels like an easy way to slip the midi skirt trend into even a capsule wardrobe.

Khaite

If luxury is your wheelhouse even for trending pieces then Khaite's spin on the denim midi skirt might be a stylish winner. It's ivory colourway is a chic addition for any fashionistas favourite palette and looks.

Mango

Mango is one of the clear winners when it comes to accessing trends and the best part? Their always affordable. Their take on the denim midi skirt is light in weight for the summer months and the pale wash feels ohh so flattering.

Citizens of Humanity

Citizens of Humanity have knocked on the retro door to create their take on the midi skirt with accented pockets and button through fastenings. The detailing of their take feels luxurious and incredible quality.

COS

COS is of course often on so many minds when it comes to adding trending looks to closets and their denim always hits the mark. A dark wash, a long line and a little stretch adds comfort alongside style.

Maje

If you're an all black style maven who rarely steps out of the 'does it come in black?' box then Maje have just the skirt for you. A subtle back split, a narrow flattering cut and of course a black wash that will transcend seasons.

WEEKEND MAX MARA

And if classic blue denim isn't usually on your lust list because an 'it' piece is always the priority then Weekend Max Mara have got you. Their unique floral pattern stands out for the right reasons when its highlighting the denim midi.
