Goal Setting and Manifesting Tips
for 2024

My feed is rife with everyone sharing their list of 'ins' and 'outs' for the year. It's a brilliant, albeit short way to decide which of your good habits you intend to keep 'in' your life and which ones you want to throw 'out'. And when I saw this neatly written list from varying content creators I follow, I felt encouraged to potentially write my own. That was until I remembered that in fact I had been writing down my goals, habits, dos and dont's for the last few weeks already, and that an In's and Out's list wouldn't quite cut it for what I had in store for 2024. So if you're anything like me, and you want to create a goals and manifestation list for the year ahead that needs a little more detail, I thought I'd share my framework for how I'm planning out my good and bad habits, hopes and wishes, goals, things to do, and even who I want to be for the year ahead.  

VISION BOARD - 2024

My favourite way to keep my mind focused on the year ahead is a vision board. A manifestation board or mood board if you will; a curation of images that reflect goals, hopes and dreams that you wish to manifest for your life. Ive gone into how to create a manifestation board here if you want to make one for yourself. And when it's ready, just add the mood board into the Notes page you're going to create for your goals and wishes below. AND set it as your phone's wallpaper background for extra focus points.

GOAL SETTING LISTS
MANIFEST YOUR LIFE

Copy the list below into the Notes app on your Iphone or the equivalent on Android. These are the list titles, and below each of these, format your list using the bulleted tick-list option to create a bullet point list of all of your relevant goals/habits/thoughts. That way you can keep them all organised as well as ready to be ticked off if they're quicker tasks or goals. Ive added a few examples of potential answers that you could write for each to hopefully give enough context.

I came up with this series of lists as I felt they seemed a lot more thorough, separates habits from goals, manifestations from habits and also separates 'tasks' (things to do) from goals, as the two can be really different. Plus it takes holidays into account as a way to always have something to be looking forward to along the way. I've also thrown in a 5 year goal list, because I think having forward thinking at how your life and actions in 2024 could affect your life in 2029, can be quite helpful in strategising. And finally, a list for who you want to be this year. You could write 'EXACTLY THE SAME' if you prefer. At the end of the day you don't need to change yourself just because it's the start of a year. However I like to think about the next year on a more personal, physical and emotional level. That could relate to staying healthy, or becoming healthier, it could be dying your hair darker, getting that laser eye surgery or gym membership you've thought about, or it could be based on your emotions and aiming to be a happier, more welcoming, or less guarded person. However you use the lists, I hope they help, as they've truly helped me find my focus for the year ahead.

Therefore this group of lists will encapsulate your hopes for the year based on your Life and career Goals, Larger Wishes to manifest, 5 year Life Goals, Things to get done this year, Habits to Keep or to Learn if you want to bring more positive habits into your life, Habits to Dismiss and Lose from your daily life, Trips to look forward to or to start planning and Who you want to be in 2024.

COPY THIS LIST INTO A TEXT MESSAGE BOX TO REMOVE THE FORMATTING, THEN COPY IT AGAIN FROM THE BOX, AND PASTE INTO A NEW NOTES PAGE, REMOVE MY EXAMPLES AND GET SETTING YOUR GOALS

 

KEY LIFE GOALS:

  • Find real balance between work and fun
  • Learn reformers Pilates with weekly training

 

WISHES:

  • Build my dream wardrobe room
  • Buy a burgundy Hermes Birkin
  • Save up for a Cartier watch

 

KEY GOALS BY 2029:

  • Holidaying properly three times a year
  • Own a second property in the countryside

 

THINGS I NEED TO DO:

  • Sort out my general health
  • Clear out clothing items and downsize
  • Completely furnish each room in the house

 

HABITS TO LEARN AND KEEP:

  • Text friends back immediately
  • Find enjoyment and relaxation in cooking
  • Blocking and removing negativity from my life
  • No phone 30 minutes before trying to sleep

 

HABITS TO DISMISS AND LOSE:

  • Scrolling longer than 10 minutes.
  • Putting off workouts until the last moment
  • Being ready at the last minute
  • Complaining about things I know I can change

 

TRIPS TO PLAN:

  • Suzie’s hen
  • Suzie’s wedding
  • Girls trip to Hampshire
  • Girls trip to Manchester
  • American Road trip

 

WHO DO I WANT TO BE IN 2024?

  • Healthy
  • Happy
  • Higher level of stamina and fitness
