Embracing
Western Fashion

It's official but I think we've known for a little time now, that the Western fashion trend is here to stay. This spring summer we're injecting a little cowboy (or cowgirl) into our wardrobes and if the start of festival season is anything to go by, we're going to be seeing a lot more of the trend as the weeks go on.

Our favourite fashionistas and celebrities have already been showing just how to do it and it's Bella, Beyonce and Pharell who have not only given their stamp of approval but who are proving that everyone needs a lottle cowboy styling in their lives.

Here's how to embrace the Western fashion trend for 2024 and who's been championing the looks.

Giddy up cowgirl - it's rodeo time!

THE TREND

Any fashion trends championed by icons such as Beyoncé and Pharrell are always going to have an impact like no other, instantly putting the style on the map and reinvigorating our wardrobes. From being some of the first to feature the trend on the red carpet a la Beyoncé at the Grammys award ceremony, to Pharrell ensuring his first PFW collection  and third show as Men's Creative Director at Louis Vuitton was a smorgasbord of Western fashion inspiration, the start of the year has seen no question of which trend is dominating.

Of course the common denominator of these two iconic moments is adored Parisan fashion house of the moment Louis Vuitton but there are also models of the moment like Bella Hadid, who have naturally brought a little rodeo fashion into the spotlight too. Bella is rumoured to be dating Adan Baneulos (champion equestrian and horse trainer) and as an accomplished equestrian herself, she's naturally been seen sporting statement cowboy hats and bold jewellery we haven't seen since Coyote Ugly was infiltrating our outfits.

THE KEY PIECES

All trends lean heavily on key pieces and when it comes to Western fashion there a few of these we're seeing come out on top. Denim, leather, suede and studding are adored by all indulging in the look - think cowboy with a touch of the 70's and of course a little extra pinch of magic. We expected denim pieces from head to toe, shirts with that extra detailing and even a touch of fringing on some more of the pricier garments, but even so it seems to be all about the notable accessories. Cowboy hats to finish the look, statement belts to bring it together and cowboy boots suitable for every fashionista moment are at the forefront of the most up to date looks. Coincidentally the accessories we're seeing the most may well be the simplest pieces to integrate into your current wardrobe; here are the Western winners according to our favourite must have brands.
