Louis Vuitton x
Yayoi Kusama
If you're a luxury label lover it's likely you may have seen the incredible global campaign celebrating the launch of the joy filled second collaboration of Louis Vuitton and Yayoi Kusama.
From the adornment of Harrods in London, to animatronic Yayoi Kusama's in New York and iconic animated Louis Vuitton trunks the size of entire buildings in Tokyo. It's a campaign that reflects the wow factor of partnering with one of the most recognised artists in the world and that heralds a particularly buoyant start to 2023.
Come with me to explore Harrods reinvention to welcome the collaborations release into the capital.

If the collaboration itself hadn't already emerged as legendary then the campaign for the collection certainly ensures it does just that. The imagery features a veritable who's who of the fashion industry such as Karlie Kloss, Christy Turlington and Bella Hadid. The models are adorned with Yayoi's painted dots and even pictured in subtle, soft black and white to contrast the loud, colourful motifs featured on the pieces themselves. Imagery that projects the artists creativity front and centre as well as allowing the art to pop even more so than the beauty of the chosen models. The perfect way of introducing the second collaboration with Louis Vuitton and Yayoi Kusama to the public.

After visiting Harrods and experiencing first hand the colour and vibrancy that the Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama has brought to the department store, it would be easy to share every magical corner of such an encompassing campaign. Of course to share every aspect of the pop up would be to spoil the experience for anyone wanting to see the once in a lifetime installations in person, but what I will share is that you won't regret taking the time to visit.
Harrods has not only had it's facade draped in Yayoi's signature painted dots but you'll find all over the inside of the store there are hints and sneak peaks of the excitement you'll find once you arrive at the main event. Panted dots, infinity dots, metal dots and psychedelic flowers galore; all Yayoi's most famous creations. For those who don't have time to take in the entire installation you can find some very special sweet treats in the Harrods patisserie (try the pistachio pastry - you won't regret it!) or you can even dive into the fun of the collaboration from the comfort of your phone. The release of the partnership has birthed a game you can discover on both iPhone and Android phones as well as Instagram and Snapchat filters that throws Yayoi's art front and centre of your imagery.
The Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama Harrods pop up is available to visit until the 12th February and you can find directions and further information on the Louis Vuitton website here.
