4 Christmas Day
Party Looks
This blog post is a paid for advertorial in collaboration with Mytheresa. (ad)
After missing out on so many Christmas events last year, it feels like this season is the season for all things glamour and glitz. The season for work parties, fancy meals and over thinking Christmas Day outfits to really get into the Christmas spirit.
I love to dress up at the best of times and really indulge in special occasions, so this Christmas especially feels like one of the most special in quite some time. A time to take the Christmas day dress code seriously and create some gorgeous looks from one of my all time favourite retailers.
Mytheresa has such a huge selection of some of my favourite brands including Self-Portrait, Aquazzura, REDValentino, Max Mara, Gucci and so many more, the perfect place to discover an incredible new Christmas look.

Lady in Red
-
Nothing says Christmas glamour like a little red dress and especially one that has such beautiful detailing, that's perfectly designed for the festive season. A completely on trend swinging 60's style shift, with functional pockets for festive posing, an intricate bow that you can style in front or behind and a frill neckline that really stands out from the crowd. A versatile festive look that can be accessorised in a multitude of ways.
I went opted for a singular shade of red by adding these absolutely stunning Aquazzura (ad) heels that already feel perfectly festive with any outfit, but especially so with this statement REDValentino (ad) shift dress. Opt for sparkles to add some glitz, or an on trend baguette style shoulder bag, like this reimagined Gucci (ad) from the same 60's era. Throw on a chic cream coat for Christmas Day walks (faux fur or teddy if it's really chilly!) or even some black designer tights to really inject a little contrast and luxury.
The Ultimate LBD
-
You can't consider a little Christmas fun and sparkle without truly indulging in a classic little black dress. One of the only styles that transcends runways, seasons and every Holiday throughout the year to ensure you look and feel your most confident. Choosing a style that has a little added embellishment, especially around the neckline, is an ideal choice for the festive season. A little black dress, with on trend ruching, embellishment that shines and THE sweetheart neckline shape that'll have you feeling like a million dollars is a sure fire way to get into the Christmas spirit.
For this wow Self-Portrait (ad) mini dress I wanted to add even more shimmer, sparkle and glamour and so what's more glitzy (or me?!) than a pair of Paris Texas (ad) boots with top to toe sequins. These two pieces feel like they were made for each other but I also can't wait to team these boots with other wow looks. I know they'll look just as edgy with some leather trousers, just as statement with a playsuit and just as festive with a knitted roll neck dress. Make sure you discover the Paris Texas range on Mytheresa and especially so their exclusives you won't find anywhere else.
Cinderella Worthy Shoes
-
Sometimes your Christmas dress needs Cinderella worthy shoes and we all know that some accessories can really steal the show when it comes to styling a look. For Christmas Day of course there's always the temptation to add a little sparkle and why not? Teamed with a classic and simple red cami dress, the perfect sparkles can make any look Christmas cocktail ready in an instant. Choosing a style that's perfectly simple like this Norma Kamali (ad) number, means that you can let your accessories do the talking in whichever way you love. Opt for shimmer with Cinderella worthy shoes like these Paris Texas (ad) beauties and the simple neckline with minimal detailing means you can add your favourite jewels for even more glam.
I wanted to keep things simple for this look, thinking about cocktails with family and maybe some late evening gift opening with special people, so I kept things chic with a peep of sparkle. In comparison to the statement boots from my LBD look, these peep toe mules are a wonderful way to opt for a flash of embellishment.
Draped in Metallics
-
And if you're thinking that this year you want to step away from a classic Christmas red or if you almost always opt for a LBD, then maybe something sumptuous like a metallic is the way to go. A beautiful bronze, silver or gold dress for a special occasion like a family Christmas reunion will be the extra special look that'll make you feel like celebrating. There's something unique about opting for metallics as your Christmas Day look, with the feeling that you're draped in something so special and luxurious for such an anticipated Holiday together. This draped neckline Max Mara (ad) dress is so elegant and can be worn layered to elevate the luxe evening vibes or the shift style can easily stand alone.
I adore a more draped and almost cowl style neckline and personally love to cinch in a shift dress to add a little more shape to my figure. I opted for a detailed waist belt to add some edge to such a classic piece and of course no metallic Christmas Day dress would feel as festive without a bold red lip. Add in these beautiful strappy Gianvito Rossi (ad) sandals and not only does the look feel magical it feels perfect enough for Christmas Day with loved ones.
