This week is a turning point. It's a turning point to be better and to do better. It's a turning point to look at what our white privilege has afforded us and to lift up black voices, black creators and black businesses who haven't been afforded the same advantages. 

I can do better. I will do better.

This week I've had the privilege to converse with some absolutely amazing people and not only did I listen to what I should do with my platform/career moving forward, they were so kind to share some inspiring black creators with me. I so wish I'd taken the time to discover them sooner as they've already filled my feeds with such important and equally beautiful content, but it's also teaching me how important a diverse social media feed is. 

Instagram is meant to inspire. It's a place to consume content that is full of the things we love and it's a space that a lot of us spend so much of our time in. We follow accounts that focus on fashion, gaming, beauty, business, music, activism, finance and everything in-between and diversifying our social media feeds will impact not only our online selves, but our 'real life' selves too. It's a start.

This week you won't see my usual content on any of my social channels but my hope is that you'll join me in learning, talking openly, signing petitions, donating to black causes (if you're financially able to), sharing important information, altering our beauty/fashion standards and diversifying social feeds in the process.
