Holiday season is upon us and our favourite stores and websites are full to the brim with the most beautiful vacation centric accessories. The season's trends call for statement sunglasses, pearl hair accessories, multi use scarves and perhaps most obvious - the beach bag.
Straw, rope, basket, tote, wicker, rafia, high street or high end, there are so many to choose from this year. No matter if you're heading to the beach or sitting at your favourite restaurant watching the waves from a distance, Aperol in hand of course, there's a style out there for you.
Here's my round up of the 25 chicest beach bags available right now from across some of my favourite online stores, as well as the reasons behind loving each Summer style.

The Rope Bag
Often a little smaller than the classic beach tote, the new wave of string bags are often found in bleached cottons and ropes. Think drinks on the French Riviera as opposed to days spent on the actual beach, but nonetheless an on trend statement for the Summer that's all over the high street as well as featured in some of your favourite designers collections. You'll find them crocheted, tied and woven and they're the perfect addition to all your holiday looks.
The Accessorised Bag
A classic beach bag with a little something extra that stands out from the crowd. Whether it's a dash of colour, a pom pom or two, a light hearted slogan or even statement tassels, an accessorised beach bag is a simple but effective way to add a little fun into even the most basic of looks. Think stepping out of the box a little to really embrace the trend but if there's a time and a place for doing that, it's definitely while you're on a sunshine vacation.
The Branded Bag
You know the past 12 months have been all about the logos and slogans and the trend isn't escaping you at the beach either. From structured wicker bags created by Prada through to relaxed woven totes designed by Chloe, you'll find a multitude of designers have made their way into beach wear. My personal favourite are the new season colours of the classic Loewe raffia tote but that minimal Stella McCartney would be the perfect plane partner too.
The Bright Bag
Rainbows can be found in the most beautiful of settings and now you can wear them on your arm too. I might not be on board with the tie dye trend this Summer but I'm most definitely excited about the trend of rainbow bright accessories. Think the brighter the better with this trend and take your straw tote from the beach to the bar with ease. My personal favourite is the large Pimkie tote from ASOS that's roomy enough to hold everything you need, no matter how you plan on styling it.
The Classic Bag
And last but certainly not least the chicest of them all, the classic straw or raffia beach bag. So on trend you'll find yourself wanting to use it everyday and not just on vacation. H&M have some great options online right now including the below dupe for the Loewe straw tote for a fraction of the price and I'm also loving the simple circular option from Whistles, that I know I could style for everything from brunch to beach in the click of a finger.
