I can finally enjoy
Planning my Wedding

You know ages ago, when I wrote in one of my first Wedding Diaries that I just wanted to thoroughly enjoy every moment of wedding prep, as I only get one shot at this... and then everything got messy? WELL, I'm finally back in a place where I feel so excited again. I am so so happy to announce:

WE HAVE FOUND OUR VENUE.

And we've booked it. The place we had been looking for, and after a few hiccups, we managed to book in. I've actually paid the deposit, so this is THE ONE.

I'm ecstatic - I'm finally a little more chilled and mostly I am eager to now get planning each and every tiny detail of our special day!

So where are we at?

Since we last spoke, there have been a few updates - so let me talk you through them! This is even more for my memory than for you guys honestly...

Venue Booking

Yep, so it's booked, deposit down and a few guests have started to book their flights. However, I want to send out my full invites first with all the info necessary. It's a Chateau just like I wanted, and with flowers and lights, it will hopefully look unreal.

Invites are Ready

My stunning wedding invites - by the fabulous Design by Pye, are at the printer as we speak. We need a few more days, because the foiling on the invites needs its own specific printing block, which needs making. But next week, we should be ready to go. I cannot wait to show you our wedding invites though - I think I'll take pictures after the wedding so I can show you all the details properly. But we have blush, dove grey and ivory cards with silver foiling and even our own wax seal stamp. They could not be any more perfect.

I've booked my Videographers

Papertwin - it was a no brainer. Not only are they Northern based, they filmed my bestie Rebecca's wedding and the video teaser alone made me cry my eyes out. They are so skilled, so professional but the kind of people who could be your best mate. I cannot wait to see how they capture our day.

My Wedding dress is being made

I've tried on all four of my dresses and I am totally head over heels for them all. My Phillipa Lepley fittings have started and I've already tried on my toile and corset. Thats me in Phillipa's showroom in the pictures. It's all just a total dream experience and I couldn't feel more lucky to be able to wear Phillipa Lepley walking down the aisle.

Starting Dress Fittings

On Tuesday I start fittings for my third dress, for the Sunday brunch of the wedding. This dress is totally different to the other three and just so girly and beautiful. I'm still deciding whether to keep this one a secret for the day, but watch this space!

Shoes?

So I am still deciding on shoes. The brands I'm loving at the moment would be Sophia Webster, Jimmy Choo, Aquazzura or a classic Dior. But Im looking especially for an open toe high heel with crystal embellishments for one of my dresses. But for my wedding dress, maybe something smooth and plain but beautiful. Do let me know if you see anything around please.

Photographers ahoy?

I've started looking around for a photographer. And I would love your suggestions. I'm looking for either one or two people, to shoot more editorial/documentary/candid vibe photos. Nothing too staged, just beautiful and capturing real moments. But my gosh I had no idea how expensive photographers could actually be! Would love any recommendations please!

Look - I'm starting to make some progress! So happy!
