NYFW:
What I Wore
Oh New York City, how I love you but how I hate it when it rains! Trying to navigate fashion week shows, while photographing your looks in the rain, equals lots of hiding in doorways and reluctantly embracing the fact that there will be umbrellas and frizzy hair in all of your pictures!
Despite the conveniently timed downpours seemingly happening every time we left our hotel, I wore some of my favourite looks of the month, if not the year, so far and couldn't pass up the opportunity to share them with you fully. So here they are my looks from my time with NARS in the studio, along with what I wore to Zimmerman, Self Portrait, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Kate Spade, Alice + Olivia and more!
My New York Fashion Week look book for the Spring Summer 2019 season.
BACKSTAGE WITH NARS
I was so excited to get my hands on this dress as we transition into Autumn. It's the ideal length for cooler evenings and even NYC rainy days, so you'll be seeing a lot more of this Rixo piece as I style it with some edgy layers and my ever favourite Fall shoe style - the alternative ankle boot.
THE KATE SPADE SHOW
How incredible is the detailing on this Kate Spade dress? I love how the ruffles at the shoulders of the dress are balanced out by the nipped in waist and the A-line shape. The high, Victorian style neck is so me and I decided to team it with my newest black accessories to contrast the feminine, flocked print.
THE ADEAM SHOW
It's not always necessary to be dressed head to toe in a brand to support them and sometimes I love bringing out past season clothing to restyle with different accessories. This statement Jonathan Simkhai skirt is one of those pieces that teamed with some recent wardrobe additions, has new life breathed into it for fashion week.
HITTING THE SHOPS
When in New York you can always find time to shop and of course that deserves an outfit change too. This Rebecca Minkoff tee not only looks amazing but supports the 'I Am Many' campaign that recognises women are multi-faceted and can be masters of so much more than you see at first glance. I teamed it with my newest ME+EM trousers and strappy heels to dress the look up.
THE SELF PORTRAIT SHOW
Always one of my favourite shows of the season and a show I was lucky enough to be dressed by the team to attend! I chose this beautiful asymmetric mini dress with ruffle detail to the chest, paired with some of the brands killer boots and my newest nude 'go with everything' bag from YSL.
THE 3.1 PHILLIP LIM SHOW
Here I am doing my best Victoria Beckham impression dressed in my look for the 3.1 Phillip Lim show. The most beautiful colour block jumper in grey, white and pastel pink, styled with some subtle paper bag waist trousers and of course my new Dior love - my Lady Dior in pearlescent pink.
THE ZIMMERMAN SHOW
What a dream to attend the Zimmerman show and not only that but to be wearing the most beautifully intricate Maxi dress by the brand too. Again the Victorian inspired neckline is so up my street and this, alongside the more modern sheer panelling in the arms, back and chest was a perfect contrast in the style.
THE ALICE + OLIVIA SHOW
This dress! I can't rave about the cut of this enough. On the hanger you'd be forgiven for thinking that the material and cut would drown a smaller frame but actually, the handkerchief hem and cap sleeves are just so flattering. I needed some equally bold accessories to match and my Diorever cross body was ideal.
