What I Wore in St Lucia – Summer Holiday Outfit Inspo

30/05/18

St. Lucia Look Book

Location: Jade Mountain & Anse Chastanet Resorts, St. Lucia
Sometimes a picture can say a thousand words and especially so if they’re set against some of the most beautiful backdrops I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Alex and I visited the glorious island of St. Lucia recently and had one of the most incredible adventures we’ve ever had the pleasure to experience. From hiking to the top of the Pitons, swimming in picture perfect waterfalls and staying in two of the most idyllic resorts I’ve ever stepped foot in – perfection!

So I packed up a new selection of outfits for the trip. Allowing me  to capture our beautiful surroundings whilst styling some of my current favourite pieces from Dior, Revolve, Topshop, Whistles, ASOS & more. So here they are, my favourite looks from our time in St. Lucia and keep your eye out on the blog very soon, for a run down of the new in beauty I used every day of this picturesque trip.

The Swimwear

Always my favourite part of any sunshine adventure is new swimwear. From the tiniest of bikinis when I’m feeling my most confident, to the most vibrant of swimsuits when I want to add some colour into my life, St. Lucia had some beautiful backdrops to shoot in front of and some amazing places to style my new in swimwear too. This beautiful and aptly coloured jade bikini from Vix is super supportive, adjustable and has some beautiful hardware to accent both the top and the bottoms. Then comes my newest addition this fun striped, cut out swim from River Island that fit perfectly with the vibe our our adventure with it’s bold shades and thong bottom. And last but not least my favourite Melissa Odabash two piece, that I now own in white too, because any swimwear that makes me feel my best, deserves multiple outings all over the world.

The Daytime Looks

For this adventure in St. Lucia I mixed things up with colours, fabrics and brands and I loved the outcome of my outfits. From a more casual look in my new retro Levi’s tee, teamed with structured Alice + Olivia shorts and fun pink Emu slip ons, (much needed with all the walking we did) to something a little more island appropriate in my red wide leg Whistles trousers, a bandeau swim from one of my favourite brands Lovers + Friends and of course bare feet for the beach. Both looks teamed with my much lusted after Dior tote bag because why not?

The Evening Looks

Evening looks can be so fun when you’re on holiday, it’s definitely an excuse for me to be a little braver than I would normally and I always step out of my comfort zone a little. Take this amazing Biba palm print suit – a little bolder than I would wear for a meeting in the city (easily mix and matched to tone it down though!) but team it with some killer heels and a classic Dior bag in a vibrant new colour way and I never want to take it off! Similarly the beautiful, iridescent, mosaic playsuit from Dior, far more bold than you’d perhaps see me rocking at an event usually, but give me a tan and a matching, yet clashing mosaic Dior clutch and I could’ve worn that look every evening with the biggest smile.
