I absolutely adore the description of this look as it hits the nail perfectly on the head. 'Polished and powerful' with a 'strong sexy eye' balanced with a 'softer nude lip'. I definitely felt polished and I definitely felt powerful strutting down the sidewalk amongst the towering buildings. This eye look may seem a little terrifying initially with such bright shadows but actually the smokiness the blue lends to the lower lash is sultry and easy to blend. I omitted the lip gloss on this particular day as the winds were whipping around the buildings and my hair was worn down, but I still love the look and can't wait to recreate it.
How luxurious is the packaging on the new collection? I am a complete sucker for a weighty, great looking beauty product and these are some of the most luxe out there right now. From the extras you can buy like the limited edition leather make up bag, created by Victoria herself, to the gold accents that frame all the compacts. I feel like I want to display the entire collection; they're so beautiful!
LIP GLOSS IN 'FIRED CRYSTAL'
MATTE LIPSTICK & LIP LINER IN 'VICTORIA'
Although I didn’t use the gloss to finish the look on this occasion, I love the consistency of Fired Crystal. It stays away from that sticky feel that you often worry about with a lip gloss and even feels quite similar to using a high shine balm. The shimmer in the gloss has been designed to be worn both alone and over the top of another lip colour to enhance it.
£38/$50 & £22/$34
I mean this lipstick was made for me right? A cool brown toned nude lip, that’s matte but still creamy and easy to wear, I will be buying back ups to wear way past Autumn. I love this deeper take on what we know as a nude and especially teamed with the matching creamy lip liner. A marriage made at fashion week.
THE EYE MATTE DUO IN 'SAPHIR ORANGE' & EYE KAJAL IN 'BLACK SAFFRON VANILLE
THE SKIN PERFECTING POWDER & AURA GLOSS IN 'HONEY'
£48/$60 & £30/$38
This for me is the stand out product for the NY look and if you want to see the application in detail you can see me using and blending the duo in the vlog below. They might seem a little bold to be teamed together but they work so well as a duo. The navy is a beautiful way to smoke out your lower lash line as well as create a wing, that isn’t as heavy as adding a stark black and the orange shade is a great build-able crease colour and base for the navy. To intensify the look, the eye kajal in Black Saffron can be used on the water line and the Vanille colour used to brighten the inner corner. Perfection.
£62/$85 & £30/$45
The finishing touches to every one of the looks created by Victoria deserve both of these items. The Skin Perfecting Powder is the perfect translucent setting powder that will ensure your look is bright yet blurred and ideal for touch ups during the day. Any my favourite piece from the signature collection that I have been adding to all my looks the past few weeks is the Aura Gloss in Honey. This multi use item is great for a high shine to catch the light wherever you would like. I love using it for a wet look on my eyelids and tapping it onto my cheek bones lightly with my fingers for a dewy finish.
THE VICTORIA BECKHAM OUTFIT
I’m not sure if I’ve ever felt more like a girl boss. Walking through New York city, to the one show I dream of attending every season, wearing a dress and handbag by the lady herself and a face full of her new cosmetics collaboration. This dress is so sophisticated and beautiful, I fell in love with it instantly. The material is so unique as a lightweight wool blend knit. The fit and flare style made me feel really feminine and flirty and teamed with the classic cream bag to compliment the checkered pattern, I felt my confidence levels on the increase. Of course I added a pair of Malone Souliers mules for the occasion and my favourite Fendi sunglasses.
