14 Makeup Forever Lipstick Shades to Fall in Love With

I’ve always been a fan of Makeup Forever, especially when it comes to their incredible base products! Their foundations are absolutely wonderful if you like full coverage, and their primers are some of the best in the luxury market. But it was their new Artist Rouge lipsticks that caught my attention. There are almost 50 in their new range, so I went through every single one to find my absolute favourites, whittled down to 14! And then I swatched my favourite 6 on my lips. In the 14 are a number of nudes (of course), with a few pinks, a perfect red, a fun lilac and a white! Yes, white!

Formula.

You’re looking at a range of intense colour lipsticks with a matte or cream finish, long lasting pigments and a comfortable feeling. The lipsticks beginning with the M lettering signify a matte formula and therefore I would recommend you use a balm after an hour or so of wear, but they are absolutely the best matte lipstick formula’s I have personally tried. They don’t dry down into the lips in the same way as a liquid lipstick, but rather the colour mattifies for a smooth finish. The C lettering signifies the Artist Rouge Creme formula, which provides a creamier, sheen finish without leaving your lips feeling dry or uncomfortable.

The colour range transitions through nudes to pinks, corals, reds and into the bright lilacs, aqua and blues, catering for so many types of makeup finishes – hence why these appear to be aimed at the professionals.
