Soaking up the sun and dreaming of the yacht life…
This was such a wonderful day. After a light and lovely breakfast at our hostel,
Casa Gracia Barcelona, we headed down Las Ramblas to
La Bouqeria, the huge food market in the centre of Barcelona. A treasure trove of olives, nuts, pizzas, fruit and fish, with everything else you could dream of nibbling, snacking or indulging on. Me,
Steph and the girls fancied spending the day picnicing in the sunshine, so we headed to the market to pick up food and drinks for our day in the sun. We bought the biggest, and most expensive bag of nuts you have ever seen, as well as Calzone pizzas freshly prepared and baked in front of us. As we’re all classy Manchester gals at heart, we also picked up a case of Desperados, with other tasty treats such as Macaroons and chocolate dipped caramelised oranges. We lay in the sun by the Marina for hours, just chatting, laughing and playing. Oh my goodness it was the greatest picnic I’ve ever eaten!
So for the day by the Marina, what was I wearing?!
Seriously, how good does all of this food look?! Definitely a highlight of the trip.
And the car below. Too cool not to photograph.
And I have decided, the first car I buy, will be like the one above. Can you imagine my purple hair blowing in the breeze as I drive this around London?! I’d feel like a Bond girl!
