I don’t know who I would have become if I hadn’t met some of the most important people in my life…
Well look who it is again! Eat Travel Love making another appearance on the blog, yet rightly so, as she is one of my closest friends. A few weeks ago, you may have seen that we spent a wonderful afternoon at Park Lane Hotel, eating a Royal Baby Shower inspired afternoon tea and chatting about the future. So many problems and issues get put to right over food and drinks with friends, and I need to remind myself just how important it is to get out of my office and spend some time relaxing. I do not do it enough. This day was perfect. Spending the afternoon in Selfridges Vintage Salt rooftop restaurant, again. Slurping Prosecco and Peach bellini ice lollies and tucking into another delightful bowl of pea and mint soup. Alex was with me and Steph and our good friend Tim came to join us for a few cocktails and catch ups.
Check out how tasty the food looks though, and on a bright summers day, the windows and roof are flung open to let the summer in. It is just my favourite place to eat and drink all year round.
After sipping on champagne cocktails and somehow managing not to order dessert, we headed over to Tim’s beautiful apartment on the Thames. Well, beside it. With an astounding view of the London Eye from his balcony, we were all literally gobsmacked by the once in a lifetime view. Tim assured us that on New years Eve, being able to watch the London fireworks from his balcony was a pretty amazing moment.
And this was the look I wore for friends catch ups and restaurant meet ups. A denim playsuit, that when I first tried it on, I wasnt too sure on. Yet after a little more manoeuvring and playing around with the collar, I decided I loved how simple and easy it was. Comfortable and really cool with an easy pair of espadrilles. These ones are from Selected and they are ridiculously comfortable. Plus, the benefit of not having cut up ankles, due to no actual back to the flat shoe. Bonus! The final piece to the puzzle were my Ray Ban aviators and my favourite pink lip, Illamasqua Corrupt.

We chilled and talked and remembered and laughed, all whilst the sun went down, the birds flew over head and the champagne bottle stopped pouring.
And we had one of those magical moments, where the sky is the perfect shade and the London looks so beautiful as a silhouette. I could not be more grateful that I have the opportunity to live in one of the most beautiful and exciting cities in the whole world.
