Wearing a few new style faves, we headed over to Shoreditch to Host our Own Roast, with aprons and all…
Location: Beach Blanket Babylon, Shoreditch, London
Sitting down and being handed plates of food is something I’m rather fond of. But yet, theres something rather satisfying about dishing out steaming hot foot to your eagerly awaiting friends, especially if you haven’t spent hours behind the stove cooking it yourself. This was the gist of Hosting my own Roast at Beach Blanket Babylon in Shoreditch, literally a stones throw away from Shoreditch High Street Tube station.
But first, what was I wearing. Some more ripped relaxed jeans, as I live in them recently, with an embellished jacket from Keepsake and a new Nicole Farhi tee. Accessories were the usual suspects, Tory Burch Sandals and my Fendi 3jours and Taylor Morris sunnies

You can choose from a range of roasted meats, including Pork, Chicken, Lamb and Beef if my memory serves me right, served with all of the trimmings, including some awesome giant Yorkshire Puddings. Oh, plus jugs of Bloody Marys on tap. The waiter brought over the Host Your Own Roast apron and the plates of food, and I emptied the contents onto the plates. Brocolli, roasted veg and potatoes with gravy, yorkshire puddings and a slice of beef each. So so delicious!
And to finish, a slice of pie, either apple or lemon meringue, with a side of custard. My goodness, the Lemon Meringue pie was a meal in itself, and just absolutely incredible. All that meringue goodness on the top, it brought back the best memories of eating Lemon meringue as a child.
And after devouring six plates of food, we headed into the heart of Shoreditch for some vintage and market shopping. Of course stopping off at chocolate shops, coffee houses and the best vintage collections. I had no idea just how vibrant and exciting Shoreditch could be!
And because I had some awesome fashionable buddies with me, I figured they needed photographing. So say hello to Mr Liptrot, a London Barber and lover of expensive trainers, and Pip, you may already know from the vintage and style blog, Fully Fashioned. Go say hey and show them some love!
What an amazing day with friends, food and finds. Be sure to visit Beach Blanket Babylon soon, with a big group of friends preferably. Its an awesome way to spend your sunday!
