Much Needed Body TLC

Much Needed Body TLC with Antipodes Joyful Hand Cream, & Other Stories Floral Memento Body Scrub, Floral Memento Body Souffle, Elemis British Botanical Shower Cream and Aveda Stress Fix Oil
It’s only right that I give a shout out to the products looking after my body…

These are all newbies to my collection and I’m so happy we came to meet. I am so forgetful when it comes to using scrubs and body lotions, although I do have hand cream well and truly integrated into my routine.

Hand Cream

This hand cream from Antipodes is a joy to use, aptly named, Joyful. With scents of summer berries and Hibiscus flowers, the creamy product is the finishing touch to my skincare routine each night before bed. Let’s just say, my hands are in pretty great shape right now. It just makes me happy to apply it, with the bright fresh scent and creaminess that sinks into the skin effectively, it’s everything I want from a hand cream.

Shower Cream

This Limited Edition Elemis Shower Cream is a new flat fave, with even Alex using the majority of this when I’m not looking. I just notice the scent escape from the bathroom every time he showers. Cheeky. It just has a very British fresh garden scent to it, as the British Botanical name would suggest. It doesn’t lather up a ridiculous amount, but just enough to soap up your bath lily for a fresh and clean all-over wash. It leaves such a beautiful scent on the skin, I’m going to be so upset when this runs out. I’ll send Alex to buy me another.

In honesty it’s hard with such products, as £24 is a lot of money to spend on a shower cream. For me, I’d rather spend that sort of cash on creams and skincare, than something that just washes my skin – especially when I know of products of a cheaper price tag that I love just as much. But for those looking for a treat, or a present for another perhaps, this has definitely been a product I’ve enjoyed, and Alex.

Body Scrub

This is a product I’m massively fond on. Especially now that I’m really into body brushing, a body scrub goes hand in hand with great body exfoliation. And this product, the & Other Stories Floral Memento Body Scrub, has made its way onto my shower shelf for daily use. In a pretty, floral scent and a great salty consistency, this is a scrub I can really get on with. Nothing too harsh on the skin, but just enough friction to make your body feel awake. Plus the price tag is fantastic.

Body Souffle

And the matching partner to the Body Scrub is the Floral Memento Body Souffle. In the same scent, these are to be used as a pair, and I love that feeling of not only washing with a beautiful scent, but smothering it all over your skin when you step out of the shower. This is a whipped souffle, in a light and spongey creamy consistency, that sinks in quite quickly and can just be slapped all over your body after a shower. It’s easy and that’s what I want from a body lotion.

Body Oil

The Aveda Stress Fix Oil is one of those products that you keep in your collection for a time that your partner decides that tonight is the one night a year that they offer you a massage. But, I’ll gladly take it. Yet, it isn’t just for massages and relieving muscle tension. This little gem can be used on the scalp before shampooing for a stress-relieving scalp massage and can also be added into bath water. With a lavender and sage fragrance, this is wonderfully calming, especially if you breathe it in deeply and really try to destress your body and mind. I’m a loyal Aveda fan and have a lot of faith in their products, and this doesn’t disappoint.

What body products can’t you live without at the moment?
