Covent Garden Day Trip and Dinner at Tredwells

A day of London sight seeing and incredible food. This is a restaurant you don’t want to miss…

Location: Covent Garden, London.

Theres something about the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden that I don’t mind. Too much. It has an excitement and vibrance about it, with smiles and that joy of happy sightseers, getting a taste of the London culture. And the number of shops, cafe and restaurants there, makes it an easy way to spend a Saturday. We just happened to have a few hours to kill before a meal at Tredwells just off the Seven Dials. Have a peek below for some mouth watering snaps!

What I wore: Glamorous Taupe Mac / Monki Dress / Nicholas Kirkwood Slippers / Daniel Wellington Bristol Watch (use code Inthefrow for 15% off) / Lensway Love Glasses / Fendi 3jours Tote

“Why have I never been to Tredwells before?”
That’s the question I was asking throughout this exquisite meal. Not only did they have my favourite starter ever, Chicken Liver Mousse, with toast, served on a bed of bacon jam, but their menu was filled with so many foodie favourites. Whilst Alex enjoyed the Fish cake, with confit egg, herb mayo and capers, I tucked into the parfait, practically licking the jar clean. We then moved on to mains, myself choosing the Gnocci with wild garlic pesto, mushrooms and pine nuts, whilst Alex opted for the Seabass with crispy shallots. They were beyond delicious, and we literally did the food dance during every bite. But the presentation of the food, the ambience of the restaurant and the interior decor of Tredwells was all perfect. But namely, the customer service was out of this world brilliant. Helpful, attentive and light-hearted waiters and waitresses, as well as restaurant managers, were there for any need or want and could not do enough for us. We were wowed completely.
Big recommendations for the food, would be what we ate, in all honesty. The mash potato especially was divine, literally melt in the mouth potato with lashings of butter. Heavenly. The virtuous brownie to finish was also delicious, as well as the salted caramel and praline chocolate tart. Beautiful. My mouth is watering just thinking about how tasty this all was. Plus, the manager was on hand to help with our wine selection, selecting wines that would match our meals to a tee. And he was spot on. This is somewhere that I will be taking my parents next time they visit the city, as I know they will enjoy it just as much as I.
Have you visited Tredwells yet? Let me know if you decide to go, or what you thought of it? We are totally smitten with it, and cannot wait to return as soon as possible!
