When you find those products that you cant help but apply every day…
Well these are mine. So in my usual style, Ill go through how I created this look and why I love each product to bits.
Nars Sheer Glow – After applying a serum and moisturiser, I went in with a concealer and blended with a
real techniques sponge before using a
Zoeva Powder Polish brush to blend the Nars Sheer Glow into my skin. This has been one of my favourite foundations, ever, in fact Id put it in second place after Laura Mercier Silk Creme. But the colour of Deauville is just perfect for my skin and I find it covers and perfects the skin wonderfully. I cant fault it and its a huge recommendation of mine.
Nars Copacabana Highlight – After bronzing the skin into my cheek hollows, this time with the
Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow, I applied a tiny blob of the highlight to my hand before using a
Real techniques contour brush to pick up a small amount of the product. I sweep it gently over my cheek bones, half way across my cheek up to the brow bone and under the brow. This is pigmented, brightening and even better than I thought it would be. Plus, as it is in liquid form, you can also mix this with your foundation for a truly radiant glow. It was love on first use.
Hourglass Modernist Palette in Exposure – Onto the eyes, and I used my new Zoeva Golden brushes to apply the lightest shade of the palette into the inner corner of my eyes before applying the pewter shade to my lids. I finished off the eyes with the deep purples to the very outer corners and blended with a fluffy, clean brush. The pigmentation of this palette is flawless, and they blend like nothing else. It really is as beautiful to use, as it looks. Just FYI, I also used the
Burberry eyeliner and
Clarins Truly Waterproof mascara here.
Illamasqua Angled Brush and
Precision Brow Gel in Awe– The eyes were finished with the Illamasqua precision brow gel used with the Illamasqua angled brush. For some reason, these two slipped past my radar before, but since trying them both for the first time, they are new favourites. The brush is a brilliant shape and stiff texture to be able to draw little hairs into the brows for a natural finish, and I find that the shade awe in the brow gel is a brilliant match for me. This certainly rivals the Anastasia Dipbrow and I think I may actually prefer its slightly more workable formula!
Hourglass Femme Nude in Nude 1 – Finally onto my favourite new lip product in a nude pink. Used on its own, it applies a coral toned nude to the lips with a semi-matte finish, that lasts for a pretty substantial amount of time. Im reaching for this every single day now, in replacement of my Mac Creme Cup and particularly love it when paired with Mac Whirl Lipliner.
And that is my new favourite everyday routine, with a few other products thrown in.
Have I managed to inspire you to try some of my new faves?
