Whilst I cannot find this box set available to buy anymore, you can still pick up all of the colours in this beautiful Hollywood Collection as separates. With cool Hollywood inspired names, the collection introduces three gloss coats and three pearlescent coats, from a grey white through to a copper bronze with deep red sparkles. ‘My Name in Lights’ is the purple glitter, with a clear coating incorporating flecks of red, blue and purple glitters, so the finish is a glittered purple nail. A second coat will equal a fuller purple finish. ‘Click Click Flash’ is the deep green glitter, this time with a deep aqua green coat, incorporating small glitters in forrest greens and light aquas leaving the most stunning pearlescent and iridescent tone. ‘Who are you Wearing’ is the copper bronze shade, with an almost orange toned finish and speckles of various gold shades for a golden metallic finish. I loved these so much more when I saw them out of the bottles.
The Under Cover base coat looks like a beautiful peach, but actually leaves a clear finish that enhances the natural shade of the finger tips with a very slight peach tint. If you were looking for a sophisticated manicure finish, coating this with the Crystal top coat will leave a high gloss and fast drying finish.
The three gloss shades, ‘Where’s my Limo’ in the grey white, ‘I’m so Hollywood’ in the cherry red and ‘No Pictures Please’ in the cobalt are those signature colours that appear in the nail collections of most ladies. Their colour payoff is the same as you would expect from the exterior bottle colour which is why I didn’t necessarily swatch them, but you can get the idea. They are quite a fast drying polish, with a high shine finish, great uses of colours and easily storable bottle shapes. From an award winning nail expert like Leighton Denny, I wouldn’t expect anything less than a brilliant product.
Have you tried any Leighton Denny shades before? What were your thoughts?
