LFW AW15: Lucas Nascimento and Floral Foliage

All the Royals…

The royal colours were back in force at the Lucas Nascimento show, with a burnt orange, deep indigo purple, a royal blue and a dull forrest green. You may have spotted the purples, oxbloods, blues, greens and oranges already in previous posts, so there is absolutely a theme forming for next autumn. But it is also interesting to spot just how many autumnal florals there have been so far, especially from the shows I have been covering. Markus Lupfer, especially, followed a similar vibe, with further patterns at Felder and Im sure we will see many more appearing.

Lucas Nascimento’s particular collection mixed the royal shades through the floral foliage prints and patterns, sometimes incorporating blocks of colour to collars and cuffs. Leathers and silks were seen throughout, with an interesting textured tinsel fabric to jumpsuits, dresses and camis. With a fully lit catwalk and a crowd in shadow, the collection was given centre stage, and rightly so.
