Some of the best products for shaping and enhancing your brows can be bought from Benefit. That is no secret and I’m happy to admit I’m also a big fan.
The Brow Zings in medium was a Holy Grail product for me for quite some time, although I must say Ive converted over to the Anastasia Brow Pomade recently and am totally in love with it. Yet, whilst Benefit can be fairly pricey in the makeup market, there are a number of products that really are worth your buck.
Like I said, the
Brow Zings palette is a brilliant brow product, with a light wax and rich powder that (when used with a good eyebrow brush) can really enhance the shape of the brows. The wax enables the powder to coat the hairs and skin easily to form your desired brow shape, whilst then leaving them set in place when finished. I usually go for the medium shade as I love a good dark brow.
The
Benefit Gimme Brow in light/medium is another product that I adore. It can be used alone over bare brows, brushing the hairs into place, darkening their colour and forming a natural yet enhanced brow. They’re a firm favourite of a lot of bloggers and beauty enthusiasts, mainly due to the small brush head that enables a more precise application. Out of the products in this post, this would be my biggest recommendation I think!
The
Speed Brow looks similar to Gimme Brow, yet it differs in applying barely any tint but instead sets the brows in place for the day. Perfect those that are happy with their brow shape and tint and want to just keep unruly hairs set in place. But this product can be used with the instant brow pencil, or any other pencil you have, as a last step in the routine.
The High Brow pencils in the pale pink and
Brow Glow version, a champagne shimmer, are of course brow highlighters. I bought into these products years ago and actually forgot how useful they can be. Applying this roughly to your brow bone beneath the hairs, can then be blended with your fingertip lightly to spread and diffuse the product to a natural highlight. The High Brow Glow is great for an evening whilst
High Brow is an everyday radiance.
Finally,
Instant Brow is a newbie for me, with a double-ended product consisting of a spoolie and a pencil, for brushing and taming, filling and shaping. Whilst I wasn’t sure if I would love this, I found the colour payoff and ease of use was actually really great, with the pencil having a waxy and malleable consistency that helps it to glide through and over the brow hairs for a desired coverage. Finished off with Speed Brow to set and high glow to the brow bone, the finish is really beautiful, and I show the way I apply them together in the image above.
My recommendations would definitely include Brow Zings, High Brow and Gimme Brow. These are definitely the best of the bunch and the best value for your money. Instant Brow is good but nowhere near as easy and precise as Brow Zings. High Brow is more wearable than High Brow Glow and Gimme Brow is your off duty beauty saviour.
