I couldn’t think of a better day out than this..

My girls came to stay with me at the weekend, bringing along their festive spirit and all-year round cheer for a weekend of food and catch ups. We don’t get to see each other that often, living in different regions can be a little difficult, but we try our best to make the trip whenever we can. As the Manchester Christmas Markets had just opened, we decided a Sunday morning stroll was necessary, and decided to brave the crowds for the opening weekend. The Manchester markets are famous for being pretty darn awesome. Each year they extend wider and wider, until soon I’m sure the entirety of Manchester will be filled with wooden huts selling cheeses, pancakes and lederhosen. My favourite thing to do is snack on a Bratwurst or Pulled Pork Sandwich with apple sauce and stuffing, finish with a banana nutella crepe and then finish it off with a mulled wine, especially when I’m surrounded by the best people. People travel miles to get to these markets, and rightly so. Luckily they’re right on my doorstep and I should make more effort to visit them far more every year.
As it was pretty chilly outside, I decided on a long cream weave coat from Zara, my new heeled ankle boots from Dorothy Perkins which I have not taken off, a pair of perfectly fitted Topshop black Joni skinnies, again haven’t taken these off, and finally the most amazing colour block jumper from Hush.
Here’s what I wore
And here are some alternatives
I hope you take a trip to the markets soon and be sure to get a crepe. Theyre divine!
