This is my second Miss Selfridge investment for the season, so make sure to also check out the first. Their new premium collection is absolutely stunning, with embellished dresses in black, deep violet, cream and red all fighting for your attention. This dress had something about it that reminded me of Art deco prints and structures in the formation of the embroidery, and on the body, it looks even more beautiful than on the hanger. I will be wearing this for at least one of my Christmas parties this year. But I decided to style it up with some blue and grey accessories. The grey in the booties of course matches perfectly with the silver elements in the sequins of the dress, as does the pewter in the Marc B bag. Yet, the Sezane jacket, which Im absolutely swooning over ever since it arrived, has elements of a grey blue shade, and a contrasting pattern to the embellishment of the dress. But after checking myself out in the mirror for a while to check that I wasnt clashing ridiculously, I loved this combination. The jacket is in quite a thick cotton fabric, really soft and quilted in a really fitted design. The lack of the collar makes it appear even more sophisticated and the dark navy details add some focal points to the printed pattern all over the fabric. I would size up in this if you want it to be a little looser.

What do you think of this dress? Prefer it to the first or has this one stolen your heart now?
