If you follow me on instagram, you may be well aware of my new love for Charlotte Tilbury. I am starting to wonder where her products have been all of my life!
I have a few more CT beauties to review really soon, but I thought I’d start with these two gems.
The colour chameleon in golden quartz lasts for 14 hours without budging, which is its main selling point. But for me, it has so much more to it that makes me swoon. First, the colours are beautiful, morphing from one tone to the next depending on the light and being true to the colour you see inside the pencil. They literally glide on without effort and blend beautifully. Covering the whole mobile eye with the shade and smoking out the edges works beautifully, just as lining the lash line and smoking out subtley does also. In the image above, I have just lined the lash line and used a fluffy brush to smoke out the edges. You can see how the glitter in the pencil has dispersed and the colour has smoked out perfectly. Golden quartz is a bronze and woodland green tone that is perfect for green eyes, but I personally loved this shade with my green/grey eyes.
And the mascara. Well, it is meant to curl, separate, volumise, lengthen and add drama and I would definitely say I was impressed with it. I wouldn’t buy it again, only because my lashes are ridiculously straight, and only waterproof mascaras will hold my eyelash curls in place. So for that reason, it isn’t great for me, but for someone with naturally curly lashes, they may be onto a winner. It certainly separates and lengthens and with a few more coats, the volume would have definitely been there. So I was impressed for the sakes of lucky curly eyelash people, but for me, this wouldn’t be a repurchase. The Colour Chameleons however, I want them in every single colour!
