Illamasqua have just released their new collection for the summer and it is STUNNING. I have been meaning to review these beauties for so so long, what have I been doing all this time?! Just as an idea, the images above show me wearing the beautiful blush in peaked with the matte liquid in forbidden, a beautiful peach toned lip glaze. The very lower image I have coated my lips in the Surrender shade which I absolutely adore. The lip liquids remind me of lip lacquers, almost varnishes for the lips that dry matte. The colours are uber pigmented and leave a stunning finish, although can feel somewhat drying, so I prefer to dab on some carmex just before or just after application. But the colours are dreamy and the packaging is just perfection. The blush, like all Illamasqua blushes, is another pigmented, creamy blush in a beautiful shade, this time in super wearable peach. Definitely my favourite of the Illamasqua blushes as the shade is so perfect for summer. Just apply with a stippling brush for a flaweless finish.

Now for those of you with oilier skin tones, Illamasqua have brought out the matte veil. An updated, matte version of their extremely popular Hydra Veil. Whereas hydra veil acts as a primer that boosts the skins radiance and adds a dewy glow to the skin, the matte veil is the opposite, taking away the shininess and leaving your face perfected. Plus I adore the packaging these come in, the little pots are gorgeous.

And finally, I thought I should also mention the little tubes you can see in the photos above. These are pigments that you add to your foundation colour. They come in a range of shades, from cool yellow to deeper pinker tones, and when mixed with your foundation will help you find your exact shade. So many people are in the middle of foundation shades and these little tubes are offered to you for free with the Illamasqua foundations, so you’re able to just get that extra bit of warmth, cool tones or otherwise to make your foundation the best it can be. Such an amazing idea, I’m not sure why more brands haven’t thought of this, and even better that they are free of charge. Fantastic.

So there we are. Probably my favourite Illamasqua collection to date as the shades were literally made for me. Super innovative ideas and just always bringing out hit after hit. I love this brand.

What is your favourite Illamasqua product?
