I’m sure I’m pretty late on the Clarisonic bandwagon. I’m sure I heard about them about a year ago when I was just getting into the swing of this blogging thing. Loads of ladies were using them and reporting mixed feelings, so I figured I’d wait it out for a while. But it turns out my chance to try one of these devices came around and I’ve been trying it out for a few weeks. It’s totally not as I had imagined though. I thought that the vibrating bristles would be really fast with lots of movement, almost like an electric toothbrush for the face. But actually, the movement is ‘Sonic,’ moving at 300 movements per second to offer a super deep clean to the skin. It barely even feels as though its moving, the vibration is that fast, yet after moving it around the skin, (for the 30 seconds or so it runs for before an automatic switch off), it definitely leaves your skin with a mild exfoliation sensation. It removes makeup better than you can manually, due to the tiny bristles working away at the skin and removing all traces of dirt. It is also supposed to make the skin feel smoother and healthier, tighten pores, remove sebum and improve the appearance of the skin. You can also use it twice a day for a minute at a time, but I’ve been using every other day for a more intense exfoliation. I find that the days after using, my makeup sinks into my skin much nicer, due to my pores feeling less clogged. It also makes the skin feel really smooth and fresh, so I’ve become quite fond of using this every other day. Plus the rechargeable plug it comes with means its super handy, yet I imagine it wont need charging all that often. I didnt think I would, but Ive definitely fallen for this little device and Im actually quite excited to go take off my makeup now. I’ll keep you updated with how I find it after a few months!
Has anyone else tried the Clarisonic? How did you find it?
