A few hours in the new Umberto Giannini salon in Harvey Nichols and my flatmate and I looked like princesses. See what we got up to on the day…
You may have already seen my recent vlog that I’ve added above, documenting the night and day of the End of Year Ball that I helped to organise. The whole day was just amazing, starting with a fantastic hair styling with Umberto Giannini. They have recently opened their new salon in Harvey Nichols, Manchester, and the whole set up and stylists are superb. We had the best time, drinking wine and Prosecco and getting our hair tousled to perfection. My flat buddy Rebecca went for a huge side bun with an amazing quiff whilst I went for a big curly doo with side sections wrapped around to the back, with a few darker pink hair extensions thrown in for texture. We were so so pleased with what we had imagined and the guys did the most amazing job. If youre looking for a new hair salon, you truly need to try this one!
After we got home, we popped the bubbly and spent hours applying makeup before finally getting into our beautiful dresses from Gorgeous Couture. Their selection is so beautiful and I just adore the styles and fabrics that they use. We both went for black, maxi dresses, mine in a one shoulder style with a Swarovski band and a huge leg split. It fit like utter perfection. You can see more of my dress here. Rebecca went for a high neck, long sleeve maxi with a slit in the neckline, both in a stunning black, elastane fabric that flatters you in all the right places. We felt gorgeous all evening, so thank you Umberto and Gorgeous Couture for turning us from ducklings to swans.
