The Body Shop will always be that store that performs amazingly, whether it be for makeup, body or skincare. I have been a huge fan of the Body Shop for years now and it was actually the love of their products that encouraged me to start my own blog. I’m usually always impressed by every product I try and the new shimmer cube palettes were no exception. The cool thing about these palettes is the ability to take one shade out of the palette and stick it in your makeup bag, for touch ups on the go. Otherwise, the palette is fairly small anyway, so it wont be too much of a burden to carry it around as a quad. But either way, the colours are so vibrant and pigmented and blend beautifully. On the image above, I have used the spring bronze palette using the lightest shade on the inner corner, the next lightest over the lid, the copper bronze in the crease and outer corner and the darkest brown as an eyeliner shade. I have drawn it along the top and bottom lash lines to define the eyes and then applied some mascara. Such beautiful shades and I adored this look. You could create a similar, but pink style with the second palette, again working through the colours from light to dark, from the inner corner working outward.
The glosses are also beautiful and as a huge fan of vanilla, the vanilla lip gloss was an absolute winner for me. They aren’t too sticky, have a slight taste and scent and leave a high shine finish. I always really love the Body Shop packaging too, so these are super cute for popping in your make up bag.
Im just adoring copper and dark brown eyeshadow shades right now, so I will be getting a lot of use out of this palette and the vanilla lip gloss I think might become my new go-to gloss.
Have you treated yourself to anything new from the Body Shop lately?
