Okay, I may have just found the skincare of dreams. Recently my skin has been dreadful, breaking out all over my nose and chin. I never usually have a problem with spots, only getting them very now and again, but I think stress is taking its tool at the moment, and its showing on my face. So when I heard that Escentual were doing up to 30% off French Skincare, it was a chance I couldn’t miss. Apparently they do this every year and our favourite Skincare brands get discounted for our pleasure, brands such as those here but also Caudalie, Eau Thermale Avene, A-Derma and Pierre Fabre to name a few more. However, it was these products from Vichy, La Roche Posay and Nuxe that I had my eye on.
Vichy Normaderm – Now £7.33 from £11
Move over cleansers of the past, this has swiftly become my favourite face wash. Its gel like consistency with small micro exfoliating beads really feels like it is smoothing away dirt, cleansing and massaging the skin and removing all unwanted nasties. That’s how good it feels on the face. I really love this and am thinking of stocking up before this offer runs out. It has really made a difference to the texture of my skin, it is just so smooth and not at all dry. Plus my spots really seem reduced and relaxed after using this. Winner.
Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot – Now £7 from £10.50
This was exactly what I was after when I went routing through the skincare and it is really brilliant. You use it to apply directly to spots and leave it to work its magic. I have it on as we speak and I can just feel my chin tingling with pain, but in one of those really great ways where you know something great is happening to your skin. It really is fast acting and precise and I do love it when I can feel a product actually working. So again, another huge thumbs up from me.
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + – Now £10.33 from £15
I have used the non plus version of this moisturiser serum hybrid now for around 8 months. I love the texture, being very much a serum gel and the way it blends so easily into the skin. It also seemed to keep spots at bay and my face really supple. However, I haven’t used it in a while, so it begs the question of how much was it actually keeping my spots at bay?! Now I’m left with a chin filled with red marks, maybe I should have been reaching for this more! But anyway, the Effacular Duo + is the enhanced version of the original, contaning Procerad – the Ceramide that reduces redness from acne scarring. Now by no means do I have acne, but I still love using this product as a way of reducing blemishes and fighting off any imminent attacks.
Nuxe Reve de Miel Honey Lip Balm – Now £6.33 from £9
Im a big Carmex fan, so I don’t often stray to other products now. But this cult product was crying out to be tested, so I took up the challenge. The balm has a lemony, citrus scent and is very much what you would expect of a honey lip balm – thick, viscous, soothing – just a few words that spring to mind. And the lips do feel brilliant after using this, with a very slight tingle during use. This is a cult product for a reason and something that has made its leap onto my bedside table, so perhaps a congrats are in order.
Escentual are well and truly on my radar and lets just say that I don’t think Ill be buying my skincare from anywhere else in future. Skincare is something worth spending extra pennies on if it makes you feel more confident, happier and truly makes a different to your skin. These three products are actually gems and I’ve never been so happy with such a group of products. My skin is well and truly on the road to recovery.
What do you think you’ll pick up from Escentual?
