This is long overdue. I was shipped my box of Lime Crime beauties just before the last post before Christmas and I have been wearing them endlessly since then. They arrived wrapped in paper within a polka dot Lime Crime box, after only a short wait from the States. I bought them in the Black Friday sale for 30% off, so went a little crazy and bought four whilst I was paying for International shipping anyway. My favourite of the bunch is undoubtedly Poisonberry, the deep violet purple that appears in pretty much all of the Instagram posts nowadays. Great Pink Planet is a light, baby pink with blue tones, that very much reminds me of Mac Saint Germain with a very similar opaque finish. Glamour 101 is a deep vampy red and perfect matched with Mac Cherry Lipliner. All of the above are Opaque lipsticks and therefore form a full colour on first application. They really last amazingly and you can tell the amazing quality.
Finally, I also treated myself to one of the Velventine Lip Stains, this one being Suede Berry, the sort of letterbox box red that reminds of Marilyn Monroe. The finish of this is matte, due to its stain properties rather than a glossy lipstick. For this reason, it is lovely to swipe on, pat into the lips and know that your lips will be stained pretty much as long as you like. I also pat this over the centre of my lips over Poisonberry to give an ombre look and I adore it. I am now itching to buy pretty much every other colour in the Opaques range as they are just such incredible colours.
