Somehow I have not yet reviewed my favourite eyeliner, so when I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few more colours and other products in the collection, I realised it was the perfect time to tell you how much I love Eyeko. I came across the black skinny liner in a goodie bag I was kindly given a few months ago. I had never used Eyeko before and had no idea what to expect, but one morning I decided to give the skinny liner a whirl, in replacement of my Nars Eyeliner Stylo. Immediately I was hooked. Not only is it super black when applied, but it lasts all day, doesn’t smudge, doesn’t run and comes off easily with makeup remover. Mainly though, it draws the most perfect cat eye, due to the super pointy, rigid nib.
Unknown to me, it actually also comes in navy blue and purple as shown above. For those evenings you want a different look and black isn’t what you’re looking for, then the purple and blue might be a great alternative product. All of them draw so easily, they can not be used incorrectly.
Also unknown to me was that Eyeko have recently brought out the Liquid Metal liner. Completely different in that it uses a brush, in which you pump the product into by twisting the end of the pen. Again the colour is jet black and the nib allows you to play around with the thickness of your eyeliner. Large or thin streaks can both be achieved, as shown on the back of my hand. For those that prefer are more relaxed and delicate nib on their eyeliner, this is one you might begin to love.
Finally, to go with your amazing eyeliner, you can also buy the new Black Magic Mascara. The wand is slightly curved with defined bristles to separate and brush through the lashes. I also love that the mascara is in a tube rather than the usual mascara body. It is a really cute design and a gimic I actually buy into. Im a sucker for good design. Yet, I must admit it is not my favourite mascara, just because I am so fussy when it comes to my eyelashes and what does and doesn’t work for me. This is great for the bottom lashes and really does coat the lashes in a jet black with great separation, but it takes a few minutes or so to achieve this. It doesn’t really lengthen either and I would say it is definitely more of a thickening mascara, but again it isn’t to the extent of others. As such, I liked it, but I didn’t love it and for that reason I wouldn’t buy it again unfortunately.
However, the Eyeko eyeliners are an absolute winner for me and the skinny liner is by far my favourite eyeliner I have ever tried. For £10 you gain a product that lasts for ages and does exactly what it is supposed to, so I would not bother buying something more expensive again. I love it when you find a perfect product.
