Concealers are one of those products that can be hit or miss. Not the right shade, not the right tone, consistency, texture. There are so many concealers on the market in liquid or potted form and it’s a minefield to decide which to choose. Yet sometimes you stumble upon a product that is a dream come true. The new Skin Base from Illamasqua is a compact cream concealer that can be applied with fingertips or a small brush. With the fingertips you gain the added heat to blend to a smoother and flawless finish, yet a brush can achieve a very similar effect. The product itself is quite light and can be lightly dabbed under the eyes to brighten and cover all bags. If applied lightly, it blends beautifully with foundation and does an amazing job of covering under eye circles. It reminds me of the Mac Studio Finish concealer but even lighter on the skin. I have found myself reaching for this for touch ups and finishing touches as it can be worked in so beautifully. This is one to try if you’re after a compact concealer to carry around for touch ups on the go with a flawless finish to boot. Illamasqua have done it again.
