I dont wear primers often. I usually forget to use them when I’m applying my makeup and generally only apply them for nights out so that my makeup is totally flawless. So when it comes to eyeshadow primers, it was a product I really didn’t have any interest it. I got the primer potion with the Urban Decay Ammo 2 Palette and figured I’d give it a try. After a few uses though, I realised why so many people rave about this product. I apply a small amount to my little finger before applying it all over the eyelid and slightly underneath the lower lash line. This means that the skin is prepped and slightly tacky for eyeshadow to be applied. It means that the eyeshadow will adhere to the primer much easier and stay in tact for much longer. The colour of the primer is a light beige, so it also works as a great base for brighter eyeshadows and evens out the eyelids. I find that eyeshadow looks more vibrant when this has been applied and it definitely helps to ensure its longevity. Yet, it is quite pricey unfortunately and I do not know if I would choose to buy this again on its own. It is fantastic but for the price I dont think I can bring myself to replace it. I think I may stick to using a small amount of my facial primers on my eyelids instead and save myself some pennies. If this ever goes on sale though or discounted, I’ll definitely be snapping one up.
If you can recommend me any amazing eyeshadow primers, please let me know in the comments.
