(Laura Mercier Foundation Primer – £28 for 50ml, 10ml* shown)
This was another Harvey Nichols goodie bag steal and a product I have wanted to try for a long time. Whilst a primer can not be noticed on the skin, I have included the image above to show you the finish of the Laura Mercier Silk Creme when applied over the foundation primer. Hopefully you might agree that the finish is pretty flawless and made much easier with the help of the primer.
I dont wear primer often, usually only bothering to apply the extra layer when I have a big occasion or event to attend. I usually stick with the Clarins Instant Smooth Self-Tanning as I absolutely love that product yet I was still open to trying something new. I applied a small amount of the Laura Mercier Foundation primer to my fingertips and then blended it onto my cheeks and slightly over my forehead. Anywhere where I wanted to conceal pores and to create a flawless look. The radiance version of the primer has a slight amount of shimmer, just to add a touch more luminosity to the skin, which I love. The consistency of the primer is beautiful, almost like a foundation itself and applies so smoothly and easily onto the skin. After application it doesn’t feel sticky or heavy, in fact just the opposite. It is a feeling that I have never found before from a primer in fact and I felt as though I hadn’t applied any product due to how light the product was. Whilst I love Clarins, it definitely doesn’t compete with the foundation primer and if I’m honest, I will be going out to buy the large version of this foundation primer when I have ran out of everything else. One of the first products to blow me away in a long time. If you’re thinking about getting this, I would highly recommend you do.
What primer would you recommend?
