(Illamasqua Lipstick in Corrupt – £16.50)
After trying and loving Immodest from Illamasqua’s matte lipstick range, I felt that another lipstick purchase was due. I was going to go for fable, yet being sold out, I chose to go with Corrupt and I am so so glad I did. In the bullet, the shade looks almost a tad purple and quite a deep pink. I usually go for lighter pink lipsticks or deeper pinks, not often aiming for the middle of the two. Yet, I have fallen head over heels for this lipstick. The consistency is the same as Immodest and applies quite nicely to the lips. Being a matte lipstick, you do get a slight amount of drag when applying, but nothing overly noticeable. I also like to apply this over carmex or something similar and it just adds a slight glow beneath the lipstick whilst also keeping the lips hydrated. Yet, I have not found the lipsticks to be overly drying at all and their colour staying power is brilliant. You can wear this for most of the night and the colour will be practically the same throughout the evening. I couldn’t recommend Illamasqua lipsticks any more and I will be definitely buying more in the future to build up my collection.
