(Benefit Porefessional – £24.50 for 22ml)
I have mentioned times before how I am not the biggest fan of primers. Yet when I found this little sample in a skincare set I treated myself to, I obviously decided to give it a go. The product is a beige creamy consistency that is lightly applied to the skin to give the most flawless, silky finish to the skin. It is supposed to blur away pores and create a smooth base for foundation. I found that for the most part, it definitely did its job brilliantly and my skin felt fantastic to then apply foundation. In terms of blurring my pores, it definitely reduced them and enabled the finish of the foundation to be enhanced due to the underlayer, but no product will ever completely clear your pores if were being honest. In terms of primers on the market, there is a reason this is so coveted and it really does do a great job of reducing pores and creating a great base. Yet, I must say that I would choose the Laura Mercier Primer over this now after recently trying it, especially as the Laura Mercier feels so incredibly light. Plus, the Laura Mercier Primer Radiance is also twice as much product for the price, so its a win win really. However, this is a brilliant product and if you like Benefit then this should probably be on your wishlist.
