(Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm – £20 for 125ml, sample size shown*)
I realise that most beauty lovers may have tried the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish by now. If you havent, the general idea behind the product is that you apply the cleansing cream to your dry face, massaging into the skin all over your makeup. You then use the cloth provided, warming it under running water and using that to gently exfoliate and remove the cleanser and makeup from your face. It is a fantastic way of removing makeup whilst giving your skin an exfoliation and deep clean concurrently. This is what the Balance me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm reminds me of and it is extremely similar. You apply the cleanser to your face as usual, except that this product is a gel type solution with small exfoliating beads within, rather than a smooth cream. Some may prefer this as it really does feel as though it is removing more product from your face due to the exfoliating feeling. As it is a gel, it doesn’t massage into the skin quite as easily as a cream would, but by adding a little extra water to your hands, problem solved. You can then use the Balance Me cloth to remove all of the product on your face. The cloth is quite smooth and gentle and I really enjoyed using it, even more so actually than the cloth you receive with the Liz Earle sets. It just felt like a nicer and better quality cloth for some reason and for this I really rated using the products. Afterwards, your skin feels smooth and entirely clean and fresh.
If you’re looking for an alternative to Liz Earle, then this is definitely something you should try. I only use these sorts of products once a week as they really are a deep clean and I dont think your facial skin needs so much exfoliation every single day. So these sorts of products for me last a lot longer for the price you pay.
Im really loving Balance Me at the moment. Are there any similar products to this that you would recommend?
