Nars Kabuki Artisan Brush No. 21

(Nars Kabuki Artisan Brush No. 21 – £28)

I spotted a Youtuber using this brush and was immediately intrigued. Anything to make contouring super easy is fine by me so this brush looked like a contour winner. The hair is not as soft as I would have liked and is much more coarse. On a few occasions it has also shed which is a shame, yet not to the extent of some brushes I have had, so I can let it off slightly for that mishap. This brush does however do a great job and is brilliant for contouring the hollows of your cheeks. I sweep this into my Nars Laguna Bronzer and pat off any excess. I then suck in my cheeks and draw the brush along the under side of the cheekbones. After sweeping back and forth, it builds up a perfect line along your cheek bones, the kind you would get by contouring with a credit card on your face. I then either use the brush to sweep upwards to drag out the colour or I use my Real Technique contour brush to slightly blend this line to a more subtle contour shape. It means that the under side of the contour line is pretty much perfect, blending up towards your temples. The brush can also be used to contour down the sides of the nose and along the chin which I also use it for. Whilst the brush is not the softest, it definitely does the job it is supposed to and I really love using this for the perfect contour now.

What did you make of this brush?
