( Real Techniques Shading Brush – £7.99 )
I bought this brush on a whim, strengthened by my love of Real Techniques brushes and a foresight as to what exactly I would use this for. The brush is a shading brush, which to me suggests it is for eyeshadow application and perhaps for along the lower lash line. Yet, I wanted to use this to apply concealer and to work it into my under eyes. The brush is really soft and the same great quality as the other Real Techniques brushes, yet I have not really used this brush as much as I would have liked. I find that for liquid concealer, it does not help it to blend into the under eyes the same as a fluffy brush would, instead it just moves the concealer around the skin. For compact concealers such as Bobbi Brown or Mac Studio Finish, it is a lot easier to use and does help to work the small amount of product into the skin, so I would definitely recommend this brush for that job. I havent used this yet as an eyeshadow brush as I have so many I love instead, so overall I must admit I didn’t really need this brush. But if you are looking for an eyeshadow brush that can double as a concealer blender, this might be the brush for you. You cannot really go wrong with Real Techniques.
