(Macadamia Natural Oil Flawless Hair Cleanser – £25.75* // Macadamia Healing Oil Spray – £23.50*)
As I had a few lovely Macadamia products to review, I thought I would do a quick review to summarise what I thought of them and what they did for my hair.
Starting with the Flawless cleanser, this is a product like no other I have tried. You add two pumps of this into your hand and it looks almost like a thick creamy foam. It feels like a conditioner when applying and doesn’t lather up like a shampoo, yet you work it into your roots and lengths as you usually would. The hair feels conditioned and soft, almost as though you have only applied a conditioner and skipped the shampoo step. I left it on my hair for 3/4 minutes before washing off and rinsing took a little longer than usual, removing the cleanser from the hair. Because of this, it feels as though you have product leftover in your hair, yet this is most probably the super soft conditioning feeling. During and after drying, my hair brushed through really easily rather than pulling on the usual odd knots and felt really thick and soft, but not to the point of being fluffy. It did however take the same amount of time to dry which it says it reduces. But still, overall this would be the perfect product to take away on holiday as it combines a shampoo and conditioner in one and the results are really lovely. The downside of this product is that the scent isn’t amazing. I expected something really coconutty perhaps but instead it smelled a touch chemically and not much else. Hard to explain, lets just say that it didn’t smell as amazing as you would imagine. A very different product that seems to have a great number of benefits and the results are pretty impressive.
The Healing Oil spray however smells gorgeous. It has the macadamia sweet scent that you would expect and does not feel at all greasy even after 4 or 5 spritzes onto the hair. It was also fantastic at taming and nourishing the hair whilst leaving it full of body. The two products together worked really well and the oil just finishes off the cleansing and nourishing process from the Flawless. You can also but this in a 60ml bottle for £15 so that might be quite useful if you want to just give this a try first of all. But it really is so lovely and something I will continue to use for my hair.
Have you tried either of these? What were your thoughts on them?
