Sometimes black eyeliner is too much when all you want is a simple eye. I went on the hunt for a good brown eyeliner that applies smoothly and easily without requiring you to dig a pencil into your eyeline. I found this one from L’Oreal that was exactly what I was after. I made sure I found one with either a retractable end or pencil form so that it could be sharpened, only just having a near miss with something that was in fact plastic and therefore unsharpenable. The eyeliner leaves a light chocolate brown shade, not quite as dark as I would have preferred yet still a lovely soft brown. It does apply very easily and smoothly and has a retractable end to move the liner up the pen. On the opposite end is also a smudger, which means having to carry less brushes if you want to create a smokey eye. It stays put all day and doesnt flake like liquid liners sometimes can. I really like this and will keep my eye open for more shades from the range. I do recommend this if a soft brown is the shade you are searching for.
