The 29th of May 2013 saw the award ceremony for the Company Style Blogger Awards. Having only blogged for 7 months, I entered the Best Personal Style Newcomer category, in association with New Look, and immediately set about promoting my involvement to all of my friends and followers. I am absolutely thrilled to report that I won the award and I cannot thank everyone enough for their support. The award is the biggest achievement after such a small amount of time blogging and has really given me a firm push in the right direction. I still can’t quite believe that I was lucky enough to win and if you were there to support me, the biggest thank you goes out to you. I could not have done it without you.
The evening was a fantastic and well planned event. As well as a Champagne and cocktail filled bar with lots of seating, the Paul Mitchell team had been invited to style everyones luscious locks, The Vintage Cosmetic Company were there to apply beautiful false eyelashes and there was a photobooth with props from Dreambooth.co.uk and a customisable sunglasses stand. You might notice my photobooth photographs above which I adore, pictured with the gorgeous Meg from Wonderful U which happens to be one of my personal favourite blogs. As well as the lovely Meg, you might have noticed the image above with Victoria White, the Editor of Company magazine who it was an honour to meet. Such a chatty and lovely lady, I just wish I could have chatted with her for longer. I am also pictured above with Maria and Katy, who was lucky enough to be given the Highly Commended award for Best Blogging Duo. The beautiful girl in the red dress is Rosy who was shortlisted for Best Fashion Blog who is also a close work friend of mine. At the end, everyone also left with a goodie bag packed to the brim with treats and the brand new Company Magazine edition. If you turn to around the middle, you will find a page with all of the winners. You can view video footage of the event here as well as style shots, the category winners and photos from the evening. Thank you so much to everyone who organised the event, helped choose the winners and was involved in some way.
Last but not least, the event was made even brighter and beautiful with the help of the Candy Kittens team. If you’re a Made in Chelsea fan, you may know of Jamie Laings venture into the world of candy and clothing. Pretty awesome idea if you ask me. I took this lollipop straight home for my flat mate, who like me is a big fan of the show and I only wish I had picked one up for myself too. Their candy and clothing printed with Jamies favourite slogans including Yea Boi, Pardy and Sweet are so so cute, and I really want to get my hands on the Yea Boi vest for the summer.
So my biggest thank you goes out to everyone who voted and has supported my blog for the past 7 months as well as Company Magazine and the New Look team. Fingers crossed that perhaps In the Frow can win a special award again in the future.
