Estee Lauder Invisible Powder in Ivory Nude

(Estee Lauder Invisible Powder MakeUp in Ivory Nude – £29*)

When I was younger, probably around 13 or so, it was only powders that I dabbled with as a cover for any imperfections. Yet, at that age, I didn’t really know what I was doing or for what aim. Ever since then, I have only ever used liquid foundations as I find the cover they give and the finish of a liquid sits much nicer on my skin. However, I was really excited to give the new Estee Lauder Invisible Powder a try due to its objective of covering the skin whilst remaining invisible. I used my Real Techniques buffing brush and buffed the powder over my skin in circular motions. I had to keep going back to the powder to add more onto my brush, but after a few minutes I was happy with the finish. My imperfections were gone, any redness was muted and my face looked somewhat flawless, yet I looked as though I hadn’t added any products. Looking closely at my skin, the powder had blended in beautifully and could not be seen. It wasn’t at all cakey or overly powdered, my skin just looked somewhat flawless. Obviously the skin looked matte, which is a look I dont often go for, always opting for as dewy as possible from day to day. Yet, there are so many people that love powders and matte finishes, so for those people, this is a beautiful product. The Ivory Nude shade was perfect for my skin and I think is one of the lightest shades, but there are so many different shades to find your correct match. So, my feelings on powders have definitely changed. I think I might continue to use this over liquid foundation to set particular areas of my face in the future. Otherwise, it will be perfect for a cover on light summer days.
Have you tried the invisible powder yet?
