North Meet Up: Beauty Blogger Event
My only disappointment about the #Northmeetup was that I did not take more photos to document it. The event, held in one of Manchester’s busiest bars, Revolution on Deansgate Locks and Canal, was the perfect place to hold a gathering of beauty loving bloggers. Arranged for weeks prior, Em Sheldon, the gorgeous and bubbly blonde who you may know as @Emshelx, had spent hours planning, organising and messaging brands, companies and bloggers in the hopes of making this the best #bbloggers meet up there will be. With a capacity of around 50 people, there was a guest list of who could come along to the exclusive event, with myself managing to land a newly opened position only days before. You can imagine my absolute jubilation when I opened the email.
Beginning at 1.30pm and ending around 4.30pm, the day consisted of beauty centric activities. A number of brand ambassadors had come along to speak with us, such as the fabulous ladies at Xen Tan and Glam Glow, Ilah brows, Arbonne Skincare, Blanx, Nikki for Anne Semonin and SoinFashion as well as three fantastic MUA’s and Emma and Celeste from Celeste Arnold Hair giving out hair consultations and free cuts. The atmosphere was therefore fantastic, with bloggers mingling between the brands and other beauty bloggers, everyone excited to meet everyone else who had attended. With cocktails on 2-4-1, every lady had a stylish drink in hand and a pile of treats to nibble on. Pop chips (which are yummy by the way) and Krispy Kreme had donated lots of goodies whilst Lauren from Cherrylovesit87 made the most fantastic bblogger branded cupcakes.
I got to speak with so many wonderful beauty bloggers that I had spoken to previously over twitter or blog comments, such as Charissa who’s blog I adore. It was also amazing to finally meet Em. She is even more stunning in person and is just so lovely, I really hope I meet her again soon. I left the event with a huge pile of goodie bags in hand, struggling to walk home from the weight but absolutely thrilled to be so spoiled. I felt so lucky. As you can see above, so many brands had contributed to the goodie bags, with Arbonne, SoinFashion, DermaV10 and Anne Semonin also providing their own individual goodie bags to each blogger. The main bags packed by Em were filled to the brim with Xen Tan goodies, Blanx, Elemis, Dr Hauschka, Lee Stafford, Burts Bees, Arbonne Makeup, Witch, Label M, Neil & Wolf, Batiste and a mini kit from She Said Beauty with RedKen and Collection 2000. There are so many more brands which you may be able to spot in the image above and I literally cant tell you how fantastic this goodie bag was.
I had a truly fantastic day and I can’t wait to meet all of these lovely bloggers and more, again in the future. Everyone I spoke to was more than lovely, I just wish I had more time to say hello to absolutely everyone. I cannot thank Em enough for organising such a brilliant event and all of the brands who attended. Until next time…
