( Illamasqua Cream Blusher in Laid – £18* )
This is my first ever cream blush. I always stayed away from them as I worried it would make me look like a china doll with two round circles for blushed cheeks. However, I have been totally proven wrong, realising that actually it’s the way you apply them that can really show off a cream blushes potential. The consistency is light and smooth and applies beautifully with something like a stippling brush, which I personally loved using with it. It is so pigmented and build-able as just a light coating leaves a pink tint building up to an extremely vibrant pink. The payoff is beautiful and the product could probably last you ages due to only needing a small sweep of the cream. Cream blushes also leave a lovely, dewy finish to the cheeks rather than a chalky matte powder, so this is great for those who prefer the dewy look for summer. I actually really love it for a statement cheek look. I think if you’re after a cream blush for summer, have a look at the colours in this range because the product really is gorgeous. I’m definitely a cream blush convert.
What do you think of this shade? Would you dare to wear something so bright?
