Somehow, it is that time of year again where we have to embrace Love and all things heart shaped. I’m quite dull when it comes to Valentines Day, it really isn’t an event I like to buy into. Yet I am not against boys buying lovely things for me – of course, what lady wouldn’t? So it got me thinking that perhaps I should have a look for a little treat to buy my Boyfriend for the day, plus as its his Birthday the day before, my shopping was totally justified. Stumbling onto the Selfridges website in their gift ideas for men section, as you do in these situations, I had a look at what gifts I would potentially like to pick up for my boyfriend, money depending of course. Here are my top eight finds and hopefully they might inspire you for your boy too.
1. Acqua Di Parma Collezione Barbiere Shaving Cream – £23
This caught my eye as a luxury shaving product that looked classic and stylish. The sleek packaging with the bright yellow Acqua lettering and emblem make the product look really special.
2. Bumble and Bumble Sumotech – £21.50
This moulding gel from one of my favourite hair care brands has an elegant design and packaging that would be perfect to buy for a guy with short hair. The product is a mixture of a wax, creme and paste, to create a moulding compound with all of the benefits. I think he’d love it.
3. Dalmore Cigar Malt 700ml – £83.99
Yes this is a touch on the pricey side, but as my boyfriend is a big fan of whiskey, something like this he would absolutely love. Super special and luxurious with an awesome bottle to match. I would have to be feeling extremely generous the day I bought this though.
4. Viktor and Rolf Spicebomb 50ml – £45
I have always loved Viktor and Rolf for myself, so I immediately loved the male version when it was released. This one is really lovely, with a mixture of spices and woody notes. Plus the bottle looks really cool and masculine.
5. Origins Skin Diver Active Charcoal Body Wash – £15
This again is stereotypically male looking, but as I have heard so many great things about Origins, I’m sure this could be a winner. The price isn’t too bad and it would be a lovely and special body wash that he could use after the gym. This particular wash is supposed to be great for unclogging pores, and reducing lumps and bumps whilst deodorizing and refreshing the skin.
6. Viktor and Rolf Spicebomb Shower Gel – £25
I personally love having the matching lotions and shower gels for my perfumes, as you smell incredible after applying both, so it has become a bit of a habit for me to buy shower gels with aftershaves. So to match the Spicebomb aftershave, I would also pick up the shower gel so he would smell even more amazing.
7. Ralph Lauren Logo-embroidered Stretch Boxers – £31
For some reason, I really liked these boxers as something he could wear in bed at night. Obviously they would be much more comfortable for sleeping in and there’s something really cute about little shorts like these. Plus, I really like Ralph Lauren, so he would learn to love it too :)
8. Clinique M Protect SPF 21 – £22.50
This dual purpose moisturiser provides UV protection which also protecting and repairing dry skin. I find that men love to borrow your moisturisers and products, so this would be his special face product that doesn’t look all that feminine. Again I think this could be a real winner.
So those are the top eight products I found and I think he would love any of them to be honest. I might look at picking up one of two perhaps just as a little treat. Plus making your boy look and smell amazing is a treat for us too. Win win.
What presents are you thinking of buying for your boy this Valentines or have you decided not to buy into it?
