HD Brows Bombshell Palette

(Clockwise from top left : Nude, Carbon, Ash Blonde, Medium Blonde)

( HD Brow Palette in Bombshell – £19.96 at eBay )

Being a platinum blonde with naturally dark blonde eyebrows, I always found it difficult to find the perfect shade of eyebrow pencil. For some reason, I’d decided that it was a pencil I needed, not realising that eyeshadows could do the same job if applied correctly. I tried one or two different brands but still couldn’t get my eyebrows to look naturally filled in. Then I received the HD Brows Kit in my Glossybox.

The kit comprises of four shades to suit a variety of skin tones and hair colours. There is one really light shade, ‘Nude’ that I immediately thought might work, yet in fact it is too light for my dark blonde eyebrows. But then I tried the third shade, ‘Medium Blonde’, applying it with an angled brush from The Body Shop, and it was totally perfect. It fills in my eyebrows, without applying the wrong shade or red undertones and after a layer of eyebrow gel, will stay put for most of the day. It is slightly darker than my eyebrow colour, yet this only adds a more refined look to my brows when it is applied. It doesn’t make them too harsh but definitely finishes off any make up look. I think I would also be able to use the ‘Ash Blonde’ shade also and this would work just as well. Filling in your eyebrows is a step you really shouldn’t miss out from your make-up routine, especially if you’ve placed so much effort into your eye make-up.  So I would highly recommend the Bombshell kit to anyone looking for a dark blonde shade that applies well and includes the right tonal shades.

Are there any other blondes that love this kit?
